Personal Profile

Rui Ge is a Professor of Accounting at the Shenzhen Audencia Financial Technology Institute (SAFTI), which is run jointly by Audencia Business School and Shenzhen University. Prior to joining SAFTI, he held academic positions at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Sun Yat-sen University. His primary research interests include financial information and corporate governance. His research has been published in leading academic journals such as The Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies, Accounting Horizons, and Journal of Accounting and Public Policy. His research has received several awards, including the Distinguished Social Science Research Award (Second Prize) of Guangdong Province in 2024 and the Distinguished Social Science Research Award (First Prize) of Shenzhen in 2023. He has also secured several competitive external research grants as principal investigator, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the General Research Fund (GRF) of the Hong Kong Research Grants Council, and the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, with total research funding exceeding RMB 2 million.
